Fundraising Committee
We are a small group of parents who help the governors to raise funds for the school. These go towards activities, Pantomime trips, the new school roof and more. If you have any ideas please catch one of us in the playground: Denny, Meena, Kara, Keely, Donna, Rachel, Nichola and Yolanda.
There are several events coming up and we would love to see as many of you and your children taking part as possible; joining in, having fun and contributing to this worthy fund.
Wednesday 9th October 7-9pm £3
Wine and Cheese Evening (adults only)
This is a great opportunity to meet other parents, have a fun night and enjoy some good food and wine whilst 100% of money raised goes to the fund. Tickets will be on sale in the school office shortly.
£3 this includes a glass of wine (further glasses for a donation), various cheeses and biscuits and a quiz. There will also be a raffle, raffle tickets on sale at the event.

Design a Christmas card
Children will be given opportunity to take part in this fund raiser, either at school or a template can be taken home and returned to school. Various items including your child’s card design can be ordered through school with 10% of final sales going towards school funds. (The cards were about £5 for 10 cards last year, if I remember right).

Christmas Shopping experience
A lovely afternoon; you and your children can start a bit of Christmas shopping (if you haven’t already done so!) There will be hot food available, mince pies, warming drinks, cakes and biscuits some of which will have been made by the children in school. Short movies for the children to watch whilst you shop or eat and drink, raffle (tickets are sent home to be sold), tombola, craft activities, cards and wrapping paper stalls plus many more. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in renting a table (£10) to sell items at the experience please contact Denny 07590259731 for availability.
Friday 20th December Breakfast with Santa
From 8.15am £2.50
Santa will be visiting Altham St James School on this day. As he is coming to the school’s Christmas party, he has very kindly agreed to come early and see anyone who wants, for a special Christmas breakfast and photo opportunity. Photos will be taken and developed before your child leaves school that day.
Toast, Cereal and other breakfast favourites available. Have your photo taken with the big man himself all included in the £2.50. Watch out for tickets going on sale.
Don’t worry if your children are unable to attend for breakfast, as Santa will be staying for some of the morning at school to give out presents to everyone.
