This week the children in Year 2 and Year 6 had a visit from the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, to talk about fire safety. A member of the crew who attended was also Alice’s daddy, who very kindly allowed the children in Reception to take a sneaky peek inside the engine and explain about some of the equipment! The children all found this very interesting and exciting, especially when they each had a turn with the big hosepipe! This unexpected opportunity tied in wonderfully with our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic. Thank you so much to Alice’s daddy and the rest of the crew from Lancashire Fire and Rescue!
