The junior children enjoyed an ‘Author Visit’ from Brian Beresford with reference to his new book, ‘The Midnight Grocer’, which is for children aged 8 to 12.
The session was all about the importance of stories in our lives, how stories can be spoken, written or sung, our favourite stories and books and how he wrote ‘The Midnight Grocer’. He read excerpts from the book and involved the children in practical activities. The book includes a link to a YouTube video of his song, ‘Midnight Grocer, Who are You?’ which he taught to the children.
