Intent, Implementation and Impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Altham St. James\u2019, we provide a safe environment in which children can experiment, explore and progress in their own creative ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through our EYFS curriculum, we aim to ensure our children develop the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to achieve fulfilling lives.
We teach to the Development Matters and EYFS Framework. Tapestry online learning journals and other tools are used to keep track of pupil\u2019s progress, communicate with home and to support children in reaching the Early Learning Goals (ELG). We follow the Read Write Inc. Phonics Programme and use Red Rose Mathematics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Implementation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We endeavour to provide high quality teaching and learning in a language rich environment. We value, respect and care for all of our children. Each child is unique and brings an irreplaceable value to our classrooms. The curriculum is based upon their interests, is accessible to them and links to the world around them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
