The Queen’s Visit to Our Area
On the 16th May 2012, our school went to see the Queen as she went through Accrington on her Diamond Jubilee Tour. We made flags to wave at the Queen, and the Duke of Edinburgh, and either drew a picture on the back, or wrote our own private message.
As she drove passed we stepped onto the roadside and waved and cheered. She waved back and carried on towards the Town Hall. (By Daniel Hunter)
