Dear Parents


After the break BLP will be Empathy and Listening.


School meals

When we return on 6th November the menu will be week 3 on the menu sheet.Please note the new menu will start with week 1 on Monday 13th November. (If you have not yet returned
your child’s choice form for the new menu, please do so on Monday 6 th November).
Christmas dinner leaflets have been sent home to the juniors (all infants are free so we include themall) please complete and return by Monday 6th November as we need to let the school kitchen know our numbers. We would like all children to stay for this special meal if possible. Thank you.



Breakfast Club

The breakfast club will continue until at least Christmas and hopefully beyond. This is available to all pupils on Monday to Friday mornings. The children can arrive from 8am, they will be given cereal, toast and a drink and the cost for this will be £3 per child, per day. Payment must be received either in advance or on the day.
We are also offering to have children from 8:30am (with no breakfast) for £1.50 per child, per day.
At 8:50am the children will be taken onto the yard by the teacher on duty. It will help us if we have an idea of how many children will be attending on each day, although this is not essential. Ideally we will need at least 6 children per day to make this financially viable. Thank you.


After School Clubs

All clubs will resume as soon as we return after the half term break.
Please note, if your child is in the juniors and stays for the extra session at football, the extra £1 per session is due now. The total up to the Christmas holiday will be £7. Thank you.


Extreme Reading Challenge

Please don’t forget to send us your photos of your children reading in unusual places, these will be displayed in our school corridor for all to see! (email them in to .Thank you.


School Lottery –

Last week’s draw was won by Mr Les Moore.
We now have 66 tickets sold which will give us over £1000 per year for school funds. The draw is also open to your friends and family all over the country, so please spread the word to help us keep our supporter numbers up.

Book Fair

If anyone has any unwanted children’s books in saleable condition, that they could donate to school, we will be holding a book fair one night after school. The date is to be confirmed but please send in books as soon as possible. Thank you.


British Legion Poppy Appeal

As in previous years, we will be supporting this charity and selling poppies after the half term break. We have also been given a school box which contains 3 types of bracelets – snap bands, friendship bracelets and silicone wristbands, these will be on sale for £1 each. There are also some poppy zip tags for 50p each. These items will be on sale after the break and may be worn in school up to 11th November. Thank you.


Bag2School Collection

Reminder – This will be on Monday 13th November, we have more bags available in school or goods can be put in other plastic bags.


Church Christmas Fair

Whilst you are clearing out your wardrobes and cupboards please bare in mind that the church will be holding its annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 18th November. They are accepting donations for raffle/tombola prizes; there will be a toy stall, jewellery stall and a good as new stall. Donations of any good quality saleable items can be brought to the school office as soon as possible and Mrs Kenyon will pass them on to church. Thank you.

  • Tuesday 12th December – United Carol Service, All Saints Church 6-7pm
  • Wednesday 13th December – Infant Christmas play
  • Thursday 14th December – Junior Christmas play
  • Friday 15th December – Christmas dinner day & Christmas Jumper Day
  • Tuesday 19th December – 2:30pm Christingle Service in church, children to be collected from church.
  • Wednesday 20th December – Christmas Breakfast 8:15am and Christmas party lunch, more information to follow after the break, then early closure at 1:30pm.
