Next week will be week 1 on the menu sheet.
Wherever possible could all outstanding lunch money be paid before the half term break .
Christmas dinner leaflets have been sent home this week to the juniors (all infants are free so we include them all) please complete and return by Monday 6 th November as we need to let the school kitchen know our numbers. Thank you.
Next week is the 3rd week trial for the breakfast club, this is available to all pupils on Monday to Friday mornings.
The children can arrive from 8am, they will be given cereal, toast and a drink and the cost for this will be £3 per child, per day. Payment must be received either in advance or on the day.
We are also offering to have children from 8:30am (with no breakfast) for £1.50 per child, per day. At 8:50am the children will be taken onto the yard by the teacher on duty.
It will help us if we have an idea of how many children will be attending on each day, although this is not essential. Ideally we will need at least 6 children per day to make this financially viable. Thank you.
After the item on last weeks newsletter regarding quality of uniform from Abbey Street stores, we are now able to order the tartan uniform from School Trends.
Prices are – Pinafore £18, Kilt £14, Pleated skirt £12.50. Ties are still available at £6 each. Thank you.

Football Match Tuesday 17th October
Well done to all our football team, we didn’t win on this occasion but a good time was had by all.
October half term £1 square
We have been donated a £20 meal voucher from The Whitakers Arms on Burnley Road in Accrington. This will be our 1st prize for the October £1 square. Other prizes include a Dad & lad haircut donated by Mr Newby, a toiletries set and an alarm clock. We have 32 squares left which are on sale now from the school office, £1 each. Thank you.
Last week’s draw was won by Chris Morris.
We now have 66 tickets sold which will give us over £1000 per year for school funds. The draw is also open to your friends and family all over the country, so please spread the word to help us keep our supporter numbers up.

A huge thank you to Mr Littler and the bees, all the honey has now been sold and over the last year he has raised over £350 for school funds. As well as paying for the coach for the panto trip, we have purchased some outdoor waterproof suits for the reception children.
If anyone has any unwanted children’s books in saleable condition, that they could donate to school, we will be holding a book fair one night after school. The date is to be confirmed but please send in books as soon as possible. Thank you.
British Legion Poppy Appeal
As in previous years, we will be supporting this charity and selling poppies next week and when we return after the half term break. We have also been given a school box which contains 3 types of bracelets – snap bands, friendship bracelets and silicone wristbands, these will be on sale for £1 each. There are also some poppy zip tags for 50p each. These items will still be on sale after the break and may be worn in school up to and including 11th November. Thank you.
