Newsletter, 13th Oct

Dear Parents

Next week BLP is Absorption.

School meals

Next week will be week 3 on the menu sheet.

Breakfast Club

Next week is the 2nd week trial for the breakfast club, this is available to all pupils on Monday to Friday mornings.
The children can arrive from 8am, they will be given cereal, toast and a drink and the cost for this will be £3 per child, per day. Payment must be received either in advance or on the day.
We are also offering to have children from 8:30am (with no breakfast) for £1.50 per child, per day.
At 8:50am the children will be taken onto the yard by the teacher on duty. It will help us if we have an idea of how many children will be attending on each day, although this is not
essential. Ideally we will need at least 6 children per day to make this financially viable. Thank you.

School Ties – have arrived and are on sale now at £6 each. Thank you.

Tartan Uniform

We have been contacted by a parent regarding the quality of uniform purchased from Abbey Street stores. I have asked School Trends to resend samples and will send a text when the sample arrives if you wish to compare.

Extreme Reading Challenge

Please don’t forget to send us your photos of your children reading in unusual places, these will be displayed in our school corridor for all to see! (email them in to s.bellard@altham.lancs.sch.uk) .Thank you.

Football Match Tuesday 17th October

There will be a football match here next Tuesday 17th October, against St Batholomews’ School. The team will be the pupils from year 5 & 6 only. There will be no after school football for any other year groups on Tuesday, however if accompanied by an adult they can stay and support the players in the match. Kick off will be approximately 4pm and the match should be finished and children collected by 4:45pm. A letter has been sent home to the pupils who stay for football on a Tuesday with a slip to sign and return.
