Altham Church is 500 years old!
On Sunday 1st April (Palm Sunday) the school joined with the church for special celebrations. We all followed a donkey down the road from school to Altham St James Church. This was to remind us of Jesus going into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, and also to celebrate the anniversary.
It was a very special event because The Archbishop of York was in attendance and he led us in the procession and in the church service. It was also a special day because Sophie Haram got baptised, and not many people can say they were christened by The Archbishop of York, or even met him! (by Jack Altham)
