Newsletter, 21st April

Dear Parents

School Dinners

The new menu will start with week 2 on Monday. Thank you.

BLP – next week the word of the week is collaboration.

Uniform

How lovely it was to see girls come in the new tartan uniform on Tuesday.
Originally the new uniform was going to start from September due to the delay in ordering from School Trends but as it is in stock and available at Abbey Street we are happy for the girls to wear it now. Unfortunately we have still not managed to source a tie but we are still looking into it and will have news soon, hopefully!!
At present the polo shirts, sweatshirts and sweat cardigans, which have the school logo on, are available through school. The tartan uniform is available to buy from Abbey Street stores in Accrington.
Could we please point out if you are buying shirts that we are sticking with the pale blue option and not white? Thank you.

Bag to School

The bag to school collection will be on Tuesday 25th April. Please have all bags outside the front reception area for 9am. Thank you.

Scholastic Book Club

Scholastic leaflets have been sent home this week. Please return any orders, along with payment, by 10th May. Thank you.

Free School Meals

Is your child entitled to free school meals?
Are you aware funding for each child registered and entitled to FSM attracts a pupil premium of £1300 for school? This in turn could mean better resources and more teaching support for your child. If you require an application form ask at the office. Thank you.

School Lottery

Please let us have your reply slip regarding interest in the school lottery as soon as possible. We hope to register soon. Thank you.

School Swimming

Please can all the girls have a swimming cap for future lessons? Thank you.

Altham Angels

This year the Altham Angels festival will take place over the weekend of 9 th & 10th September and there will be other events leading up to the weekend.
One of the things that is an option is for the school pupils to take part in an Angel themed float in the Accrington Carnival on Sunday June 25th.
Parents will need to provide an Angel costume and be available to chaperone their child on the day. If you are happy for your child to take part and will be available to supervise your child please complete and return the reply slip. Thank you.
