REMINDER – Thursdays in Lent
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend yesterdays Lent service. Each Thursday morning, school will meet at church for our series of Lent Services. There will be a member of staff at the church gates to meet the children and supervise them from 8.50am. Please do not deliver your children to school as there will be no one there on Thursdays. After the brief service, we will walk the children back to school for normal lessons. You are more than welcome to attend these services, and the church is kindly offering tea, coffee and biscuits after the children have left to any parents who attend.
On Thursday 30th March the Open the Book Team will also be in church and we will have our Easter service. Thank you.
If your child will be having a school dinner on a Thursday and doesn’t normally have a school dinner, could you please let them know on a Wednesday? We will be asking for their Thursday choice on Wednesdays in order to let the school kitchen know the day before. Thank you.
KS2 Play ‘The Ides of March’
On Wednesday 15th March our junior children will be performing the Ides of March., in the school hall from 2pm. Tickets are now available but we are limited 80 seats. Each child in the juniors will initially be allowed 2 tickets, if extra tickets are required please let us know. There will be no charge for the tickets but there will be a small raffle on the day to cover cost of props. Thank you.
Uniform
Thank you for all the feedback we have received so far. If you still have any feedback forms, please return them asap. The replies will go to full Governors for discussion , after which (if it is decided to take up the tartan option) we will be able to send out order forms for the tartan uniform.
Scholastic Book Club
Please return any orders along with your voucher and payment by 15th March. You can use your world book day voucher towards the cost of the order. Thank you.
Keeping Children Safe Online
We are now able to offer an adult course, free of charge to be held in school on Monday 27th March from 1:15-3:15pm. This course will take approximately 2 hours and we need a minimum of 8 parents to attend. Please let us know if you are able to attend. Thank you.
Raffle/Lucky Square Prizes required….
We are planning on doing another Lucky square draw at Easter and then on a regular basis at the end of each half term. As long as we can keep getting prizes this is a quick way of fundraising without the need to ask for volunteers to run stalls etc. However, what we do need is at least one good prize for each draw (last time we had the £20 meal voucher for The Walton Arms). If any parent has any contacts for prizes or could provide a prize please let us know. Thank you.
