BLP – next week is revising.

 

School Dinners

Next week the menu will be week 3. Please note as Christmas deliveries may be disrupted, the menu may vary at short notice.
The school kitchen at St Nicholas School is closed next Friday 9th December, therefore we will need dinner numbers for Friday by Wednesday as dinners will be made here on that day.

 

Christmas Lunch and Party Day

Christmas lunch day is Friday 16th December, (also Christmas jumper day) – if your child does not usually stay for school dinner and would like a Christmas dinner, please complete the attached slip and send in £2.20 for this as soon as possible.
The Christmas party lunch will be held on Wednesday 21st December (this will be instead of the usual school dinner). Again, if your child does not usually have a school dinner, but would like to join in with the Christmas Party lunch, please complete the attached slip and send in £2.20 as soon as possible.
They will not need a packed lunch on this day.
Please note infant meals are free it is just the juniors that will need to pay.Thank you.

 

Christmas Play

We are in need of any old school trousers or shorts for costumes for our Christmas play. If you have any of these, which you wouldn’t mind being cut up, please send in to school as soon as possible.
Letters have gone home this week for ticket requests, please return the reply slip to school by next Wednesday 7th December in order for us to allocate the tickets. Please note, both performances will begin at 1:45. Thank you.

 

Football Match

Unfortunately the match had to be cancelled due to a frozen pitch. We know the children were very disappointed but hopefully we can rearrange the match in the new year.

 

Non uniform day

Thank you for all the donations of sweets and chocolates received today. These will go to the chocolate tombola stall that school are running at the Altham Parish Tree Lighting event.

 

Family Christmas Service

There will be a special childrens Christmas service at Altham St James Church on Sunday 11th December at 9:30am. The service will be a birthday party to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Please come along and bring a friend.

 

Tea & Toddlers

There will be no Tea & Toddlers this month, the next metting will be on Wednesday 18th January. Wishing you all a Happy Christmas from Sue, Cath and Pam. (Tea & Toddler Team)

 

FUNDRAISING

From next week we will be selling squares for £1 each, to win various prizes including a 1.5 litre bottle of prosecco, a tub of Celebrations and a family pass to Thornton Hall Farm. We are limited to 70 squares. Please come to the school office if you would like to buy a square!

Dates for your diary ……………….

  • Saturday 10th December – Altham Parish tree lighting, flyers and raffle tickets have been sent out this week. Please return your raffle stubs by Thursday 8th December.
  • Sunday 11th December – Childrens Christmas Service at Altham St James Church 9:30am
  • Thursday 15th December – Churches Together Carol Concert to be held at 7pm in St Marys Church, Clayton le Moors.
  • Friday 16th December – School Christmas Dinner Day and Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day.
  • Monday & Tuesday 19th & 20th December 1:45 start – Christmas play.
  • Wednesday 21st December – Breakfast with Santa 8:15am, forms are attached to this letter.
    Christmas party and early closure at 1:30pm.
