Building Learning Power (BLP)

Next week the word of the week will be planning.


School Dinners

Next week will be week 2 on the menu sheets. Also there is a change to the menu on Friday 12th, there will be a special Wear Red Day Lunch of either Italian chicken, creamed potatoes & carrots or Sweet red pepper & tomato pasta with garlic bread & salad, there will be NO jacket potato option.
Juniors only school dinner cost is £2.20.


Mathematics Study Books

If anyone wishes to order their own copy of the maths study books, they are priced at £2.50 each . Deadline for orders is next Monday morning. Thank you.


The Governors Fundraising Committee

The fundraising committee are running a Valentine lucky square competion. The squares are on sale for £1 each, there are only 77 available. Prizes include a night in hamper, chocolates and a family pass to Thornton Hall Farm. Please see Mrs Felix on the yard after school or Mrs Kenyon in the office in the mornings.
Also in conjunction with the catering services Wear it Red lunch we will be holding a non uniform wear something red day (do not go to any expense). Please send £1 for this.


Hit The Target Sponsor Forms

This event will take place during school time on Friday 12th February. Please return your sponsor forms as soon as possible if you have not yet done so. Thank you.


School Library Van

The library van will be here on Friday 12th February, please make sure library books are in school on that day. Thank you.


Student Support Leaflets

Leaflets have gone home this week, please return the reply slip even if you are not interested as school will receive some maths resources depending on how many replies we get back. Thank you.


Advanced notice…..

  • There will be no after school clubs on Monday 22nd February, this is due to building work being done. Thank you.
  • On 25th February our school council are holding a blue bag collection. Please start saving your unwanted clothes/shoes/bedding/towels/toys/teddies. No metal, ceramic or sharp items please. A van will be outside school on the day of the collection to weigh any bags brought. We will then be given a cheque dependant on the weight.
  • There will be a football match on Wednesday 24th February, away at Oakhill in Whalley, more details to follow next week. No after school football here that night.
  • World Book Day is Thursday March 3rd , we will be dressing up as our favourite book character.
  • Parent’s meeting 21st March 3:30-6:30.
