Dear Parents
Thank you
Save The Children. The School Council is a group of children elected by the other children who make suggestions about the running of the school. Our School Council organised the Christmas Jumper afternoon today, and want to say thank you to everyone who took part.

School re-opens on Monday 5th January 2015 at 9am
For your information
- School term and holiday pattern. The dates up to Summer 2016 were recently set by the Governors. I enclose a print of the holiday and term dates for the remainder of this school year and the next school year. In line with Government policy, I would encourage you to book all holidays within the holiday dates as we do not authorise holidays in term time, and unauthorised absences attract a penalty from the courts.
- Safeguarding Safeguarding children online and on tablets/phones etc is an important issue for many parents. I enclose a sheet of information and resources that you may find useful as you try to safeguard your own children (here).
Notices from the Church:
- A family Christmas service will be held at Altham St James Church this Sunday 14th
December. It will be a service specially designed for children. The service starts at
9:30am with coffee and mince pies after the service. - The annual Christingle service will be in church on Sunday 4th January at 4pm. During next week your child will be given a hollow christingle candle to collect money for the Children’s Society. Please bring the full candle to the lovely service in church. If you are unable to do this, you can return it to school in the new year.
